Full-stack Software Developer
Avinode is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our team in Gothenburg, Sweden. This is an opportunity to get to work with skillful colleagues, up to date technology, and in an agile environment where personal development is high priority, without deadlines.
- Work in a small team on the full-stack of our software, from databases to UI, in Java, SQL, Java Script and React
- Leverage best practices in continuous integration and delivery. We ship code daily to our customers
- Work remotely from anywhere in Sweden, or on site in our office in Gothenburg
What you will do
As a Full Stack Developer, you will work closely with colleagues, participating in all stages of the development life cycle from concept planning to delivery. Together with your colleagues in a small product team you will build and deploy high-quality, reliable, reusable and maintainable code.
- Participate in all stages of the development life cycle, from concept planning to build, testing and delivery
- Working as part of a team to code features to acceptance; this is an operational role
- Working to ensure a cohesive architecture and adherence to agreed-upon standards
- Leverage best practices in continuous integration and delivery. We ship code daily to our customers
- You write quality code that is easy to understand and maintain
- You are completing features and shipping code at an acceptable pace
- You look to mentor and share knowledge with others
- You actively participate in your team’s meetings and are prepared for them. This includes things like daily standup, planning and retrospective meetings
- You follow your team’s agreed-upon process. This includes things like how to use Jira, branching strategies, code reviews, etc.
- You understand the requirements and purpose of proposed features before beginning work. You ask questions and require clarification if needed
Who you are
- You have professional software development experience, preferably with web-based products
- You communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing
- You have a strong sense of inner drive and responsibility
- You believe in things like automated testing, automation and monitoring
- You like working in an agile environment; we work with a mixture of Scrum and Kanban
