US titan expands from West to East

20 Feb 2018

This month's featured member and industry Titan celebrates 50 years and growth from West to East. Clay Lacy Aviation, Avinode member has over 40 aircraft listed in the Avinode Marketplace and more coming in 2018.

Clay Lacy Aviation has been a pioneer in business aviation since 1968. Founded by legendary aviator, Clay Lacy, the company has smashed records and gained the admiration of the industry. Today Clay Lacy Aviation has a national presence with operations centers in LA, Oxford and Seattle with aircraft in over 25 markets in response to growing client requests. Of late, high demand has been propelling the industry forward. In 2017, Avinode alone saw a 100 percent increase in activity in the US and Canada. Clay Lacy enjoyed a similar bump, with 23 percent growth in charter activity during the same period.

An invigorated industry pairs perfectly with Clay Lacy’s expertise, and has enabled them to grow their fleet with ten new aircraft already in 2018. Keep your eyes on this lineup, along with Clay Lacy’s 40 additional aircraft available on the Avinode Marketplace:

Miami, Florida (KOPF) / Seattle, Washington (KBFI)

  • Bombardier Challenger 350 [Factory New]

Chicago, Illinois (KLOT)

  • Cessna Citation CJ3

Oxford, Connecticut (KOXC)

  • Bombardier Global 6000 [Factory New]

Miami, Portsmouth and Chicago are new locations for Clay Lacy, and the team is excited to provide more charter options across the country. Geographical expansion is not the only new development for Clay Lacy. Among their new aircraft are two factory new planes, outfitted with the latest technologies. If you have the chance to step aboard their Bombardier Global 6000, you will experience Ka-band high-speed internet connectivity; a new technology which allows full streaming and video conferencing in-flight, the same as you would have from your home or office. Clay Lacy is meeting demands and staying top-of-mind (Wi-Fi connectivity and year of make are among the most common filters used in an Avinode Search).

Hats off to the team for continuing a strong legacy and positive contribution to the industry. It is hard to miss Clay Lacy Aviation, and we will be following their continued growth from coast to coast.
