Whilst it’s too soon to say what effect the results of last week’s US Presidential Election will have on global business aviation, we know from our data that the US market is predominately shaped by economic and political events than the more leisure-led European market. We look forward to giving you an overview of US activity as we start to see trends emerging.

In the meantime, we can give you a status of the market today. We’ve been busy at our global Avinode HQs. We’ve just returned from a busy NBAA in Orlando launching solutions set to change the future of charter and breaking both industry and company records. We also recently passed the half million mark for trip requests in just one month alone, a phenomenal number that indicates just how rapidly the Marketplace is growing.

As the demand for private charter continues to rise in the US, Avinode Marketplace members have increased by 20% over the past two years, whilst traffic through the system is growing at double that pace.

It will be interesting to see at what rate this continues to rise over the next few months as political factors settle, or of course if things remain business as usual. We will share this with you when we have more of an insight in the coming weeks and months.

What do you think? Do you think the results of the US presidential campaign will have an effect on business aviation? Do you feel the industry is heavily affected by political events? We’d love to know your thoughts.

What does Avinode marketplace data indicate for the festive period?
